As a pivotal member of the Homes Senior Leadership Team, you will take lead responsibility for critical areas such as Health & Safety, performance management, business continuity, and regulatory compliance. Your role is essential in collaborating with colleagues to realise the vision and strategic goals set by the Calico Homes Board. Additionally, you will contribute at a broader group level, capitalising on the opportunities within our group structure and actively participating in the Group Leadership Forum.

About your role
You will lead the development and implementation of an excellence framework, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused services that not only meet but exceed regulatory requirements. This includes overseeing risk and performance management, amplifying the customer voice to drive positive outcomes, and ensuring the safety of both customers and colleagues.
You will also manage transformational change initiatives, guiding and motivating colleagues through the process to ensure successful delivery within set timeframes. Keeping the organisation informed about regulatory changes, adopting best practices from within and outside the sector, and serving as a critical advisor to service areas across Homes are key aspects of this role.
With a new and unique Customer Strategy in place, this role leads the transformation of our services so they are high-quality, with a mix of face to face, telephone and digital options available to customers. The role is responsible for improving our technology offer to colleagues, so that there is more agile working, creating capacity to provide more support and care to the people we serve.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
This role requires proven knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
Leadership in Social Housing: Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role within the social housing sector.
Regulatory Expertise: In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, legislation, and legal processes, including Health & Safety, consumer standards, and relevant codes of practice.
Governance Knowledge: A strong grasp of good governance practices, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the Group Head of Governance.
Values-Driven Leadership: A commitment to upholding and demonstrating organisational values, with the confidence to challenge when necessary.
Customer Service Excellence: A passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service.
Risk and Compliance Management: Experience in managing risk and engaging with audit, assurance, and scrutiny functions.
Project and Contract Management: Proven success in managing projects, contracts, and driving successful change initiatives.
Equality and Fair Access: Awareness of the Equalities Act, with the ability to ensure fair access to services for all customers and equitable treatment of colleagues.
GDPR Compliance: Knowledge of GDPR legislation and its application across all areas of responsibility.
Safeguarding: Understanding of safeguarding practices, including safe recruitment processes.
