Part of The Calico Group, Gateway provides supported accommodation for individuals and couples who are homeless and have additional multiple and complex needs.


Description

 

A variety of Bank Shifts positions

Pay rate £11.00 per hour ( including Holiday pay )

 

Complex Needs Housing & Support Worker (Shifts available Monday – Sunday from 07:30am – 11:00pm)

Night Time Concierge (Shifts available Monday – Sunday from 10:30pm – 8:00am)

 

Gateway is Calico’s flagship complex needs homelessness service, in Burnley, and opened in August 2018.

 

Calico has delivered homelessness services for over 10 years, and our Gateway supported accommodation service expands our current provision.

 

Providing 30 units of short-term supported accommodation, alongside a range of supporting services, Gateway will enable customers to gain skills and live independently.

  • Working on the bank offers you the flexibility to book shifts based on dates and times that fit in with your personal life or other work commitments. As a bank worker, you aren’t required to work a set number of hours, so you don’t have to accept a shift unless you want to. We just ask that you work at least one shift every 2 months to keep your staff bank skills developing.
  • Working in a Gateway bank staff position can often lead to a longer term contract or permanent job opportunities, as bank staff are perfectly placed to fill these roles.

 

You’ll provide direct high quality housing and support, advice and practical help to high level complex needs customers to enable them to achieve well-being and independent living.

 

Passion, commitment, customer focus, partnership working, flexibility, resilience and motivation are key qualities needed to fulfil these roles, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.
