Exciting opportunities have arisen to become a part of Calico Gateway’s Bury Floating Support Service and join our efforts against reducing homelessness and improving the lives of residents in the Bury area.
We are looking to recruit passionate and dedicated Floating Support Officers, who will work as part of our committed team by providing short term, outcome focused interventions to individuals within their own tenancies or properties, who may be facing the threat of homelessness or need to develop the skills to live and thrive independently.
The role requires Floating Support Officers to be accountable, working autonomously, managing their caseload effectively in the community and also in our dispersed accommodation schemes. There is also a great opportunity to be involved in group-based support, with a focus on transforming people’s lives and encouraging social interaction in some of the most isolated members of the community.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Excellent communication skills in a variety of settings
- Effective organisational skills and flexibility
- Competent IT ability and documentation skills
- Desire to challenge decisions and achieve positive outcomes for customers
- A willingness to go the extra mile for the organisation and customers
- A good knowledge of housing-related issues and services, which will be enhanced in the role.
Floating Support Officers are required to hold a valid drivers licence and own or have access to a car for work purposes.
This is a great time to join our ambitious and thriving organisation. If you think you’ve got what it takes to join our team, then take action. Apply now!
For an informal discussion about the role, please speak to Jacob Harosh (07542 229380) or Louise Jackson (07814 543432). We look forward to hearing from you.
To apply, please submit to firstname.lastname@example.org a completed application form detailing how you meet the person specification.
Calico are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and wish to be representative of the communities in which we work.
