What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for the cleanliness of all communal, residents suites and office areas of the refuge at Preston. To ensure emergency accommodation is readily available for victims/survivors of domestic abuse.


The post holder will have daily contact with residents living in the refuge. They will work closely with the refuge team to ensure that all the cleaning is complete. You will aim to deliver excellent refuge services to victims/survivors at the highest support need level and who have multiple vulnerabilities.


The work involves having excellent communication skills in building relationships with residents and their children, interacting with your colleagues and liaising with professionals to contribute effectively to the smooth running of the refuge services.

Offers are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Successful candidates will undertake a 5 day Induction Programme prior to starting employment. This Induction Programme is Mandatory and all new employees have to attend the programme. You will be paid a flat rate for attending these days.
