Role & Requirements

Role:                  Support Worker (Transitional)

Location:          Bury

Hours:               37 hours

Status:               Temporary (6 months)

                             For internal candidates, secondment opportunity will be considered

Salary:               £22,520 (pro rata)

 

We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work closely with survivors of domestic abuse, providing direct support to safe house residents, contributing to their personal development and wellbeing and offering emotional and practical support.

 

The role will include establishing and operating support systems for residents in safe house accommodation, daily support checks, weekly support sessions and ad hoc support for the duration of their stay and during the resettlement process towards independent living

 

The work involves having excellent communication skills in building relationships with residents and their children, interacting with your colleagues and liaising with professionals to contribute effectively to the smooth running of the Safe Houses.
