What you'll be doing

We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic Weekend Support Worker within Lancaster’s new recovery refuge. As a Support worker you will work closely with women who have escaped domestic abuse, offering support including group work sessions around domestic abuse, trauma and their recovery from abuse. Your role will involve 1-1 and group work with vulnerable women, the work is needs led and pro-active. This is a really exciting and rewarding role where you’ll be able to positively impact people’s future, improving their prospects and their quality of life.

As a support worker you will need to be able to work pro-actively, think on your feet, be responsive and work in a non-judgemental way, delivering the best possible outcomes for the women in refuge.

12 hours on a 2-week rota cycle / alternate weekends 10am-4pm Saturday/Sunday
